For the second time the DÜRR AG group have distributed prizes to their suppliers

Bietigheim-Bissingen, October 26, 2016 - Dürr AG group honoured its best supplier for the second time with the Dürr Supplier Award. As well as the suppliers of Dürr and subsidiary Schenck RoTec, for the first time the nominees also included the suppliers of the Homag Group, which was incorporated into the group in 2014. The award ceremony took place on the 24thof October 2016 as one of the points from the supplier's meeting program on the occasion of the company’s Open Week. The manufacturer of machines and production equipment appreciates partners who, through their innovations and the quality of their products, as well as the reliability of supplies and price stability, make a significant contribution to the group’s sustainable success on the global market.

Companies awarded in each category included: MECAWEL spol. s.r.o., Minimax GmbH & Co. KG. KG and Keba AG.

"We place high demands on our suppliers because they are part of our success with our customers.Respectful and equal co-operation is very important to us" said Ralph Heuwing, the CFO of Dürr AG, who is a member of the board of directors responsible for purchasing. "As a growth-oriented company, we need reliable partners who support us in our global business. By awarding the Dürr Supplier Award, we would like to emphasise ties with strategically important suppliers and thank them for their excellent co-operation."

The Dürr Supplier Award was awarded in the "Quality and Reliability", "Innovation and Technology" and "Global Partner" categories. The top 32 suppliers were nominated. Many of them have already participated in the first prizeceremony in 2014.

The nominations were based on suppliers' ratings in recent years, when the rating criteria included innovation, quality, service and reliability of supplies. On the other hand, the Dürr Group has developed a specific rating criteria for each individual award category, such as innovative product enhancements, technology leadership roles, or continuous supplier cost optimisation. On this basis, inter-departmental teams from the areas such as purchasing, project management and research and development, decided which suppliers would be awarded.

About the winners:

MECAWEL spol. s.r.o was awarded with the "Quality and Reliability" award. The HOMAG Group has been the largest supplier for 25 years regarding the reliable supply of parts, aggregates and complete machines. That's why the company from Nekoř (Czech Republic) is one of the most important partners in the Dürr Group subsidiary.

KEBA AG was awarded in the "Innovation and Technology" category. The company from Linz (Austria) supports Dürr as an innovative partner developing a powerful control technology for a new generation of robots.

Minimax GmbH & Co. from Bad Oldesloe (Germany) became the holder of the "Global Partner" prize. The world-wide supplier of fire protection systems for varnishes and buildings meets Dürr's international requirements in an excellent way.
