Company history

MECAWEL founded

The company was founded in 1992 by two individuals during a period of major economic transformation. Its primary objective was to respond to the growing demand for manufacturing outsourcing from German companies while effectively utilizing the available production capacity of Czech engineering firms. From the very beginning, the company successfully connected international demand with the technical expertise and manufacturing potential of Czech industry.

New owners

The year 2013 marked a generational transition. After more than twenty years, the former owners handed the company over to two long-standing employees. While the core values and business direction remained unchanged, the ambition of the new owners was to take the company to the next level. Their goal was to build in-house production facilities, modernize technological equipment, and initiate the digitalization of key processes. As a result, the company began its transformation from an intermediary partner into an independent manufacturing enterprise, ready to meet new challenges and the growing demands of its customers.

Acquisition of the Production Facility in Nekoř      

The year 2014 marked a significant turning point for our company. By asquiring our largest supplier and taking over its production facility i nNekoř, we brought a substantial part of our manufacturing in-house and secured a stable base for further expansion of production capacities and technological capabilities. This laid a solid foundation for future growth and opened the way for additional investments.

Dürr Award – Best Supplier in the „Quality and Reliability“ Category

Just two years later, we received the prestigious award from DÜRR, one of the world´s leading technology leaders. The title of "Best Supplier in the Quality and Reliability Category" is a testament that our work based on precision, innovation, and fair partnership truly holds value on an international scale.

Acquisition of NOVOKOV

Another strategic milestone came in 2017 with the acquisition of NOVOKOV. This move strengthened our market position, brought new technological capabilities, and expanded our manufacturing portfolio. Integrating NOVOKOV´s know-how has enabled us to respond more flexibly to customer needs and opened new opportunities for collaborating with both existing and future clients.

Opening of the New Production Facility in Žamberk

Ten years later, we entered a new phase of development for our company. With the opening of a modern production facility in Žamberk, we not only significantly increased our capacities but also created an environment that meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and sustainability. The new facility greatly expands the range of services we offer to our customers and provides our employees with top-notch working conditions. This milestone stands as a symbol of MECAWEL´s stability, innovation, and long-term vision.
