On Monday 2 September 2024, the nomination evening of the 32nd edition of the prestigious Building of the Year 2024 competition took place at the National Technical Museum in Prague. Among 116 submitted projects representing the full spectrum of the construction industry, the new MECAWEL Industrial Center was successful and received one of the 38 nominations for the Building of the Year 2024 title.
Representing the investor and the project designer, the nomination certificate was accepted by Mr. Petr Hubálek (MECAWEL) and Mr. Petr Labuzík (KOHL ARCHITEKTI).
The new MECAWEL industrial center has joined the ranks of outstanding projects such as Masaryčka Prague, the Imperial Spa and Concert Hall in Karlovy Vary, and the Multifunctional Football Stadium in Hradec Králové.
The ceremonial Building of the Year 2024 Gala Evening, during which the awarded titles and special prizes will be announced, will take place on 8 November 2024 at the Rudolfinum in Prague.
